Every June 8, Jurist’s Day is celebrated in Cuba, in memory of the development of the Bachelor’s Thesis of the Ignacio Agramonte Law School in 1865.
The exercise of law contributes to building a more just society. In this endeavor, Cuban jurists play the leading role; This was recognized at the Ceremony for the Legal Worker’s Day in Santiago de Cuba.
During the event, the national awards of the Scientific Societies of the Union of Jurists of Cuba were awarded in the categories: Cuban Notarial Law, Procedural Law and Economic and Financial Law.
The Cuban Workers’ Union in the territory awarded the Enrique Hart Medal to 5 workers with more than 20 years in the Public Administration Union, as well as recognized the centers that were classified as National Distinguished.
The meeting was the appropriate space to entertain the most prominent jurists and groups at the stage.
As a result of the work carried out in 2023, Santiago de Cuba achieved the number of points that are awarded at the emulative level, reaching the status of the most outstanding province, a territory where jurists work to defend the socialist rule of law of social justice. and humanism.
