It all started with a call to the emergency number 911. At 2 o’clock last Wednesday, a man called to report that he had been shot with a long gun from a speeding car. Shortly after, City Police personnel intercepted the vehicle in Belgrano, detained its four occupants, young people between 19 and 21 years old, and seized an air rifle, a replica of an AK-47 Kalashnikov rifle..
As reported to THE NATION police and judicial sources, it is now being investigated whether the same young people carried out similar events in previous days, also in Belgrano.
The car they were driving in, a Fiat Cronos, did not have a license plate. “In the back seat, the compressed air rifle and projectiles were seized for use,” police sources explained.
Initially, the investigation fell on the Northern Flagrancy Unit of the Public Prosecutor’s Office porteño. The young people, defended by the lawyer Carlos Broitman, they refused to testify. He tax assistant José Guerrero charged them with the crime of weapon abuse in the form of aggression and ordered the seizure of their cell phones.
