Insecurity in Corrientes: some neighbors already feel like they do in Rosario
It is because they suspect collusion between criminals and police sectors. Four robberies in three days only in one neighborhood and a neighbor, for making complaints, received a threatening note from criminals: “We have lead for you if you continue talking,” was the warning.
A young resident of the Madariaga neighborhood found a note on his property after making public complaints about robberies and other cases of insecurity in the area where he lives. The message was: “We have lead for you if you keep talking,” and the victim of said intimidation believes that they are criminals who are dedicated to selling drugs.
“We all know them. And the police too. A week ago we had a talk with security people about the robberies in the neighborhood. After that, the patrol car began to pass by more often,” he explained to various media outlets.
Also in other neighborhoods of the city of Corrientes, such as Caridi, where four home robberies occurred in three days, or in Yapeyú, where residents cannot leave their homes “because they enter us as if nothing had happened,” they became in the hottest areas due to insecurity in the provincial capital.
