At the beginning of this year, UPCN presented a proposal to the governor so that, in the winter months, in some school cafeterias the food assistance that is given to children from Monday to Friday can also be provided on weekends. To do this, he requested to use the facilities of some schools in the province.

“The intention of this agreement is that on weekends, when the dining rooms are closed, we can organize ourselves so that in some schools – which will be programmed with the CGE and the Ministry of Development – the dining room service can be provided to the same children who go to those schools”Allende explained.

He commented that “the decision is part of the ‘UPCN and the community’ program and represents a grain of sand, a gesture from our organization.” He also assured that it is “a commitment from the Union to society, which will take place in different actions.”

“We hope that these types of proposals multiply and that other organizations and institutions adopt the same attitude and develop solidarity actions that provide help to the sectors that need it during such a difficult time that Argentina is going through.”predicted the Secretary General of UPCN Entre Ríos.

Meanwhile, he anticipated that “this initiative, which was intended as a winter program, will soon be organized and put into operation.” “We want to be present in the context that we are going through in the country, we cannot remain distant from the painful situations that some families are experiencing,” she stressed.

“Solidarity is a value that must be developed even more in times of crisis. And if all institutions do our part, we will be able to make various contributions with the aim of going through the most difficult moments in the best possible way,” Allende explained.

Finally, he assured that “through this commitment between the Union and the Government we will be able to fulfill this objective as a militant task, where our leaders will also be committed to making this proposal work, just as they are permanently committed to all issues.” of reality.”

For his part, Minister Troncoso highlighted that this is “a very important agreement to advance the cooperation that the Union will provide, which made itself available to open the schools during the weekends so that the canteens can operate on those days. with the aim that the children, in a very complicated time in the economic context, can attend to feed themselves.”

“It is a very generous, very positive solidarity action and sets the course for what the governor proposes as a province, and also the spirit that the UPCN union has with the people and the province. So we are very grateful,” he highlighted.
