The government and the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the National University of Entre Ríos (UNER) are working to create a labor market observatory with the aim of generating a detailed x-ray of the employment situation in Entre Ríos and a training plan for state workers. In this framework, the Ministry of Government and Labor signed an agreement to join the University Center for Government Management.

The initiative is part of the Interdisciplinary Studies Center of the Faculty of Economic Sciences, of the National University of Entre Ríos (UNER). It will seek to offer a detailed x-ray of the employment situation in Entre Ríos, covering aspects such as the unemployment rate, labor participation and quality of employment, among others. Its main function will be to collect, process and analyze relevant information about the labor market, thus allowing for more informed and effective public policy formulation.

The Minister of Government and Labor, Manuel Troncoso, stated that this agreement “is very important to advance what Every government needs to plan public policies: the generation of data. As a government, we want to precisely identify the strengths of the labor market in Entre Ríos, what needs to be done or improved. Data guides and supports decisions and tells us whether we are on the right track or not. And in this it is key to work together with universities, since they make an invaluable contribution with their professionals and knowledge.”

For his part, the dean of the Faculty, Sebastián Pérez, expressed that “we are always willing to collaborate with the technical teams through extension and research. This agreement with the Ministry of Government proves the importance of the synergy that can be achieved between the university and the government. We are very excited to start working with the Secretary of Labor.

In addition to the Observatory, the authorities mentioned that the agreement will allow progress together with the University Center for Government Management (CUGG), made up of the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the UNER and the Faculty of Management Sciences of the Autonomous University of Entre Ríos (UADER). ), in the implementation of specific training for public administration workers, contributing to their ongoing training and thus strengthening state functioning in the province.
