Finally, provincial authorities confirmed that the project to build a new Bus Terminal in San Juan is ruled out. This is the idea that promoted the Government above, to build an alternative to receive groups, in the vicinity of the Monument to the Gaucho, in St. Lucia. However, it will not be a reality and, now, new efforts aim to improve the current one, located on Unidos Street, in front of the Dr. Guillermo Rawson Hospital.

This was indicated by the Head of Provincial Infrastructure, Fernando Perea, in radio statements. He justified that the lack of funds makes this project unviable and, therefore, the possibility of “move forward with working on the property where the terminal exists.”

Putting aside the ambitious idea of a new terminal and aiming to improve the current one represents a significant saving for Perea. They will seek to expand it and explained that in the place it currently occupies Gendarmerie, could be made expansion important. “At that central point you can work on something in double height, inside a cafeteria, a waiting center, a kind of fan where everything can be long distance. And in the existing terminal, continue with the same short distance system,” the minister explained.

Although he provided these proposals, there are still no exact dates to start this project. It could be at the end of 2024 or in 2025, depending on how the execution of public works progresses.
