The history of the Ministry of the Interior is inextricably linked to the struggles of our people in defense of the achievements achieved by the Cuban Revolution and for solidarity support for other brother peoples.

Since its emergence on June 6, 1961, the heads, officers, combatants and civilian workers of this institution have successfully faced enemy subversive activity, assassination plans against the lives of our main leaders, armed infiltrations by sea, gangs rebel terrorists, weapons launches by air, biological warfare actions, sabotage against economic and social objectives, and they have confronted internal mercenaries who act at the service of the CIA.

With their daily actions, the men and women of the Minint, inextricably linked to their colleagues in the Revolutionary Armed Forces, have systematically acted in defense of our political, economic and social project, as a monolithic and indestructible force that guarantees the present and future of our revolutionary process, in the face of the enemy’s constant attempts to undermine the confidence of our people, provoking disturbances that contribute to destabilizing the internal situation and using pretexts to move on to higher periods that can be used for the purpose of triggering a military intervention, such as They have done so against small and underdeveloped nations such as Nicaragua, Guatemala, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Grenada, and Panama, among others, at the cost of the death of hundreds of thousands of their citizens and the destruction of their respective economic and social infrastructures.

In these invasions, even citizens who play into the hands of the enemy have also lost their lives or been injured, because the bombs and rockets are not selective and are also directed against the entire population.

It would be endless to describe the history of struggles of the Minint combatants throughout these years because they have always remained on the front line of combat and those risks have cost them numerous lives and a lot of daily sacrifice that is impossible to explain in these pages.

Between 1975 and 1991, numerous leaders, officers and combatants of the Special Troops, together with their brothers from the FAR and workers mobilized as reservists, carried out honorable internationalist missions in Angola, Ethiopia and other nations on the African continent, as a demonstration of what it is capable of doing. our people in their fight against imperialism and neocolonialism.

The men and women of the Minint are aware of the historical moment that our people are experiencing. After an economic, commercial and financial blockade intensified by the North American administrations of Barack Obama, Donald Trump and Joseph Byden, as part of a true economic war and actions of political and ideological subversion with which they try to influence the conscience of our people, but The Cuban revolutionaries who constitute the majority do not allow themselves to be fooled by siren songs, with fake news, and with the manipulation of our history.

But we know our main enemy and we do not forget how the great masses of Cuban workers lived between 1902 and 1958 with a people oppressed by large estate owners and landowners and by rulers who responded to the interests of their Yankee masters and by institutions such as the Army, the Guard Rural, the Military Intelligence Service, the BRAC, the Investigation Bureau of the National Police and terrorist groups such as the Masferrer Tigers, which caused thousands of deaths and disappearances among the best of Cuban youth.

The leaders, officers and combatants of the Minint and the Revolutionary Armed Forces, together with our people and forming part of it, as our Army General pointed out, remain vigilant to prevent and confront any attempt by the enemy to make us return to the past, as worthy representatives of the struggles started by Carlos Manuel de Céspedes on October 10, 1868 that continued for successive generations and that had a bright day on January 1, 1959 under the guidance of our eternal Commander in Chief.

Due to this long history of struggles that now spans 156 years, we are increasingly firm and convinced of the justice of our cause for which thousands of Cubans have given their lives.

With the tactical and strategic thinking of our Commander in Chief and under the direction of our Army General Raúl Castro Ruz and with our president Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, first secretary of the CCPCC together with the people, we will continue to defeat new forms of enemy subversive activity , including the so-called Fake News and Operation Streaming that aims to dismantle our history and influence our youth, and the financial destabilization operation with the participation of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), all combined with operations of espionage and infiltrations in the style of the 1960s when the Minint was founded, which today celebrates 63 years of struggles and victories and is projected into the future with new vigor and absolute faith in victory.
