81 microbusinesses increase their sales

iNNpulsa Colombia and the Santa Marta Chamber of Commerce for Magdalena have managed to significantly boost the local economy through their Microbusiness Reactivation program. On this occasion, 81 microbusinesses led by population victims of forced displacement in the department have benefited, achieving a notable increase of 37% in their total sales and a 58% increase in income generation.

This program has been fundamental in strengthening the local economy, providing more than 300 million pesos in productive assets, including agricultural equipment, appliances, machinery and other inputs. In addition, it has promoted the reactivation of 11 microbusinesses and the development and implementation of new business lines in another 16, which demonstrates its positive impact in the region.

Hernán Ceballos Gacharná, General Manager of iNNpulsa Colombia and Manager (e) of Colombia Productiva, highlighted the importance of this program to promote economic inclusion and the strengthening of local microbusinesses. For his part, Andrés Vives, director of Competitive and Business Development of the Santa Marta Chamber of Commerce for Magdalena, highlighted the Chamber’s commitment to economic inclusion and sustainable development of the region.

This program, which had an investment of $473 million and lasted eight months, has been a true success in promoting economic inclusion and the productive and commercial reactivation in Magdalena.
