According to the Prosecutor’s Office, Jean Karlo Bermúdez Camargo accepted freely, voluntarily and with the advice of a lawyer, his responsibility in the murder of businessman Roberto Franco Charry, on February 21 when he arrived at an office in Parque de la 93, north of from Bogota.
After a preliminary agreement signed with the Prosecutor’s Office, a competent criminal judge sentenced him to 20 years in prison, as responsible for the crimes of homicide; trafficking, carrying or possession of firearms, accessories, parts or ammunition, both aggravated; in addition to reception.
Videos from security cameras and testimonies collected showed how the now sentenced man arrived at the sector where the crime was committed, after the alleged hitman entered the parking lot where the victim had arrived shortly before, whom he shot with a firearm with a silencer. .
After the hitman attack, the murderer tried to flee the scene on the motorcycle that was driven by the convicted man, but it did not start. Given the impossibility of using the vehicle, the convicted man fled on foot and was captured. This is how the accusing body narrated.

According to the Bogotá Police, Roberto Franco Charry worked as a business advisor and was arriving at one of the offices to deliver the report of an audit in which he would have found a series of irregularities within a private company.
At that moment, he was approached by criminals who were traveling on a motorcycle and they shot him while he was talking on the phone. The events left Franco seriously injured, who was taken to the El Country Clinic with four gunshot wounds, dying hours later.
