Following an investigation into alleged human trafficking for labor exploitation, two raids were carried out simultaneously in two properties located in Colonia San Bartolomé, in the province of Córdoba.
Members of the “San Francisco” Complex Crimes and Judicial Procedures Investigation Unit, in collaboration with members of the Secretariat for the Fight against Violence against Women and Human Trafficking of Córdoba, personnel from the San Francisco Regional Delegation of the Ministry of Labor, and the National Registry of Rural Workers and Employers (Renatre), simultaneously registered two properties, following the orders of the magistrate in charge of the case.
As a result of the operation, officials rescued an elderly citizen, who was working in a vulnerable situation. This condition in which the individual remained showed indicators of the crime of human trafficking for labor exploitation.
Consequently, the Federal Court of San Francisco ordered that the rescued citizen be transferred to the home of a friend, located in the town of Santa María, where he will be housed under the assistance of professionals.
Additionally, during the operation, documentation of interest to the case was seized.
