From this Thursday, June 6 until Sunday the 16th, the first edition of the Tucumán Book Fair will be held at the Rural Society. It will feature readings, debates and literary discussions that will address genres such as poetry, novels, short stories and chronicles.
The Secretary of Government and Institutional Relations, Raúl Albarracín, participated in the opening ceremony, who was accompanied by the organizers of the event Diego Anchorena and Jorge García. Also participating were the auxiliary bishop, Roberto Ferrari; the mayor of Famaillá, Enrique Orellana; of Yerba Buena, Pablo Macchiarola.
The Fair will feature prestigious national writers and more than a hundred provincial writers, who will be part of the different activities framed in the days of the fair. Independent publishers in our province will also be part of the planned activities.
In this sense, Albarracín commented that “it is a very important event for the province, with more than 100 writers and publishers. “It is a cultural attraction for all residents” and he added that “the event was declared of provincial interest.” The contribution of our ministry is through the Historical Archive that participates with a stand.”
García indicated that “we are very happy about this proposal, we have been preparing it for a long time. There are publishing houses from all over the country, to which are added spaces for food and shows.”
For his part, Anchorena highlighted that “we have between 10 and 12 activities every day with writers from Tucumán and Buenos Aires.”
In turn, from the Plaate-Arte Foundation, Betty Pláate expressed that “We collaborate with the artistic part of the event, we also invite people without resources so that they can study singing with us.”
Tickets are affordable, $1000 for retirees, $2000 for the general public and $3000 for weekends.
