The suspension of the trial trial for a period of one year for Axel Juan Marcelo Pena Garro, 23, was the judicial consequence for an incident of domestic violence. Last Sunday, June 2, 2024, an argument between siblings escalated to physical violence, leaving the minor ZP with visible injuries to her face.
The situation, which broke out at approximately 1:04 p.m., led to the intervention of Mrs. JM to separate those involved and to the subsequent arrival of the police, alerted by the minor’s 911 call. Despite the family’s initial refusal to file charges, the medical examination revealed that the victim had injuries, so the Minors’ Advisor, present at CAVIG, proceeded to file the complaint on behalf of the minor.
The agreement reached includes 20 hours of community work in the Municipality of Chimbas, distributed over four months, and a symbolic reparation of $2,000 allocated to community picnic areas. In addition, a prohibition of approach and contact with the minor was imposed, as well as exclusion from the aggressor’s home.
