With the departure of Nicolás Posse and Mauricio González Botto of the Government, Chaher is now in charge of the Secretary of State Companies and Companies, expanding their influence and responsibilities. Among its priority tasks will be the transformation of these entities into public limited companies under the regime of the General Companies Law.
The Ministry of Public Companies supervises a wide range of strategic companies for the country, including AYSA, Argentine Airlines, Casa de Moneda, Military Fabrications, Road Corridors, Télam, Radio and Television Argentina (RTA), Belgrano Cargas y Logística, Railway Operator, Banco Nación, Nucleoeléctrica Argentina SA, ARSAT, Correo Argentino and the General Administration of Ports State Society.
Chaher, a law graduate from the University of Belgrano and a master’s degree in Business Law from the Catholic University of Cuyo, held leadership positions in business groups and legal studies, such as Grupo Supercanal and Grupo América Interior / América TV.
