They report mistreatment of a horse in Villa Clara

The community of Villa Clara, and Cubans throughout social media, expressed their deep indignation over a recent case of animal abuse that culminated in the death of a horse.

The news, which spread quickly, was first reported by Yenney Caballero, a prominent activist in defense of animal rights in Cuba, through her Facebook profile.

Gentleman called urgently for government action against perpetrators and requested a review of the current Animal Welfare Decree to establish harsher penalties.

Within the shared content, a heartbreaking video was included that showed the horse in deplorable conditions, extremely thin and without enough strength to stand up, after having been abandoned to its fate under the hot sun.

It was in Placetas where activists from the independent organization Animal Welfare Cuba (BAC) came to the aid of the horse.

However, an activist confirmed the tragic news that the animal died shortly after.

“ENOUGH OF ANIMAL ABUSE! What they live every day is criminal. “They can’t defend themselves, they don’t get to a veterinarian alone.”Caballero exclaimed, dismayed.

This call caused an avalanche of comments and reactions within the platform.

“Horses are victims of their owners who only see it as a way of enrichment”said one Internet user.

Sadly, animal abuse in the largest of the Antilles has become a common problem in recent times, something that, as usual, does not seem to matter to the Castro regime.

Dogs, cats, horses, and many other species have suffered cruelty from some unscrupulous human beings who continue to walk freely through the streets of the country.
