On Sunday, June 9, the Primary elections and because it is a essential holiday, the business will not be able to open that day. However, this will apply only in places where there will be elections. In fact, both Regions with gubernatorial elections will close all their malls this Sunday.
Which regions will close their malls on Sunday?
The two regions that have Primary Elections for governors on June 9 are the Coquimbo region and the Aysén region. Therefore, all shopping centers and malls located in these regions must be closed on Sunday. This also applies to the 60 communes of the country that have Primary Mayoral Elections.
It should be noted that the supermarkets will be able to open that day. However, the day before voting, that is, Saturday, June 8, they must close no later than 9:00 p.m.
It is important to mention that if a supermarket is inside a mall, it will not be able to function for obvious reasons.
