In the company of authorities, families and the educational community, La JUNJI carried out the milestone of inauguration of the Kindergarten and Nursery Room “Golondrina”. Strategically located in Porvenir Bajo, Playa Ancha, the establishment that opened its doors for the first time in 1979, emerged renewed and eco-friendly after a reconstruction process completed in 2023.

The milestone led by the executive vice president of JUNJI, Daniela Triviñowas attended by Mayor Jorge Sharp, the Undersecretary of Early Childhood Education, Claudia Lagos, the Seremi of Education, Romina Maragaño, the national director of Fundación Integra, Carlos González, the regional director(s) of JUNJI, Beatriz Lagos and the regional director of Fundación Integra, Loreto Barbieri.

With an investment that exceeds 2 billion pesos, this educational space not only stands as an educational opportunity for preschoolers, but also as an example of energy efficiency. Designed to maximize the use of natural light and minimize thermal losses, the “Golondrina” Kindergarten will not only take care of our boys and girls, but also the planet they will inherit. Located on the western slope of Cerro Playa Ancha, this kindergarten shares its surroundings with the sector’s Sports Club, in a gesture of community integration that resonates with the values ​​of JUNJI. Its opening represents a response to the need to revitalize an establishment with a legacy of almost half a century, affected by the passage of time and regulatory demands.

With an architectural design that privileges functionality and connection with nature, the “Golondrina” Kindergarten offers spacious and bright classrooms, extension rooms and a multipurpose room with sea views, all designed for the comprehensive development of girls and boys. from the first years of life. In addition, spaces have been incorporated for artistic, musical and motor stimulation activities, promoting learning through play and exploration.

In the words of the executive vice president of JUNJI, Daniela Triviño: “Early education is the foundation for our society. It is essential that from an early age boys and girls have access to safe, inclusive and relevant spaces, such as the “Golondrina” Kindergarten. Besides, “This is part of our plan to advance the coverage and provision of educational spaces, in the construction of quality, equitable and inclusive public preschool education for the country’s boys and girls.”

For his part, the Mayor Jorge Sharp He highlighted the great investment that this establishment represents for the commune and invited the authorities present to maintain this high standard in all the spaces that are built to provide initial education in the city of Valparaíso. “The boys and girls of Valparaíso now have this first-class space and I request that the authorities maintain this standard in all kindergartens and nurseries that are installed in Valparaíso”he indicated.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Education, Romina Maragañohighlighted the networking that is carried out in this space. “We are very happy to be able to inaugurate this kindergarten in the Porvenir sector, a beautiful infrastructure that is made available to the community. I believe that, particularly for this sector, which has very active social organizations, being able to count on this infrastructure, with these quality standards, will undoubtedly allow boys and girls to access, in their territory, a comprehensive and of quality, and we believe that that is central, so we are very happy for this step taken today,” Indian.

The Undersecretary of Early Childhood Education, Claudia Lagosapplauded the great work carried out by this educational team led by director Carolina Castillo and highlighted the cultural artistic seal that is displayed in every corner of the establishment. “This first-class infrastructure garden also has a committed team that involves families in the children’s pedagogical processes.
