A group of fifth-year adolescents from the private high school San José de Carúpano, in the state of Sucre, paid tribute to Venezuela and its symbols, with a mural made with recycling materials.

“Venezuela todo”, as the work is called, was performed for about two weeks by the fifth year D students, as part of their high school completion project.

Victoria Patiño, spokesperson for the group, said that they wanted to do an ecological work, with the reuse of materials such as plastic lids, which charged a fee for the creation of the mural.

The idea, Patiño explained, came from one of his teachers, Oneidis Rosal, and he had advice on the design from the plastic artist Marián Martínez.

In “Venezuela todo” there is the map of Venezuela with the Essequibo included, there are also the ethnic groups, there is the eastern fishing wealth, the waves of the sea that surrounds us, the harp, cuatro and maracas, as part of the Venezuelan joropo, the sun that rises by the Essequibo, but it is also an arepa with butter. “We wanted to show the symbols of Venezuela,” said the student.

In the creation of the mural, which was located on the side wall of the high school, on San Félix de Carúpano Street, about 20 thousand plastic covers were used.
