CONIN already has the list of dining rooms and picnic areas to which the milk will arrive

Juan Villegas, from the El Niño de Dios picnic area, in El Algarrobal, told Channel 7 that CONIN requested a list of the people who usually attend each dining room. In their case, there are 280 families.

In total there are about 100 canteens/snack bars that will receive the milk that arrives in Mendoza. This was confirmed by the executive director of the Foundation, Diego Álvarez.

“The Army spent this Friday to organize logistics. The issue of security and unloading is of great interest to them because there is a large volume of merchandise.

Not even CONIN has a confirmed date for the arrival of the tons of powdered milk, but the start of the operation shows that it will not last until this weekend or the beginning of the next.

Once the milk reaches the distribution centers, CONIN will take care of the distribution. “It is not a task that we are not used to. And the provincial government also offered us help. It will be a joint task,” said Álvarez.

What each dining room or picnic area receives will be proportional to the number of people attending.hence the request for an Excel list with names and surnames so that everything is recorded and an orderly distribution is carried out.

Regarding the request for other canteens that are not the 100 that are usually connected to CONIN, Álvarez assured: “We will see if any shipment arrives to serve those that we do not have registered.”

One in three children with malnutrition in vulnerable areas of Mendoza

The data is alarming and does not differ from the reality of other provinces. CONIN assures that according to their surveys in vulnerable areas of Mendoza, “one in three children presents some degree of mild, moderate or severe malnutrition.”

These data are not expandable to the general population but it is a stark photo of vulnerable areas.

In addition to that third with serious difficulties, “another 30% have some nutritional disorder such as obesity or overweight.”
