The Magdalena Family Compensation Fund, Cajamag, was recognized for its extensive coverage and efficient management of resources in the department of Magdalena.

Angie Katherine Monroy Bobadilla, Superintendent of the Family Subsidy(e), highlighted these achievements during the VIII National Meeting of Fedecajas, which took place on June 6 and 7 in Santa Marta.

Dr. Monroy Bobadilla praised Cajamag’s continuous effort to expand its programs and services, contributing significantly to improving the quality of life of its members and the vulnerable population, both in urban and rural areas.

“It is a healthy fund, focused on the effective provision of services to workers, who are the heart and reason for being of the organization,” he stated.

The inspection analyzes carried out by the Superintendency confirm that Cajamag adequately manages the resources coming from the contributions of affiliated workers.

“This efficient management has allowed the bank to fulfill its mission of generating a positive social impact in the region,” said the representative of the control entity.

STRENGTHEN THE FAMILY COMPENSATION SYSTEM

The Fedecajas event, which took place at the Cajamag Theater and the Teyuna Recreation Center, brought together representatives of the Compensation Funds from all over the country.

Attendees delved into topics such as the differential approach in the territories, citizen service, application of artificial intelligence in regulations, and the impact of savings banks on the provision of financial and educational services.

Dr. Martha García, administrative director of Cajamag, expressed in her participation the importance of transcending the infrastructure of the offices and achieving, through social work, transforming the realities of the populations.

«Beyond statistics, we are working with human beings. We have to reach out to the communities and work for them with our hearts,” said the administrative director.

During the meeting, Superintendent Angie Monroy Bobadilla emphasized the need to evaluate the social impact of the programs executed by the Compensation Funds. “Beyond the use of resources, we must track how these programs generate changes in the lives of members and their families,” she said.

The Superintendency plans to collect proposals for regulatory improvement of the family system to strengthen services and overcome operational obstacles.

Finally, William Alzate Rincón, Executive President of Fedecajas, within the framework of the event highlighted the importance of the “Cajas para Todos” initiative, which seeks to integrate the services of the Compensation Funds throughout the country.

“This initiative will allow members of one savings bank to use the services of another in any part of the country, consolidating a true national system of family cooperation,” Álzate announced.

The two days of the event were important for all participants who were satisfied with the new knowledge and shared experiences, which they will now take to their regions.
