Despite the magnitude of the accident that occurred this Saturday in the middle of Carrera 27 and Calle 30, fortunately no injuries were reported. The work to remove the cargo vehicle is underway.
Impacting the façade of the Los Comuneros Hospital Universitario medical center, better known as the Comuneros Clinic, a tractor trailer ended in the early hours of this Saturday, June 8.
This event, which at any time of day would have been extremely serious, occurred when the cargo vehicle, with registration number TKO-585, was traveling south – north along Carrera 27.

Just as he was passing through the main door of the clinic, the driver of the tractor-trailer, for reasons that are being investigated, lost control of the vehicle, climbed onto the platform and collided with the facade.
The structure of the medical center left the truck embedded, which was not able to break the wall and enter the facilities.
Fortunately, no one was traveling through this area at that time and no injuries were reported.
“He went straight into the ‘la mula’ clinic. Thank God there were no people around at that time, otherwise he would take them all away,” said one of the witnesses.
Those who witnessed the incident helped the driver of the vehicle who did not suffer any major injuries and reported the incident to the authorities.
Carlos Enrique Bueno, director of Bucaramanga Transit, pointed out that the damaged vehicle was going through a “not permitted” area.
“According to the first reports, the vehicle, known as a mule, was traveling through an illegal area when it lost control and collided with the perimeter wall of the medical center. Traffic in the surrounding area has been affected and drivers are recommended to take alternative routes while the clearance and damage assessment work is carried out,” the official said.
At around 8:30 am, work was underway to remove the heavy vehicle and enable mobility in this area.
Agents from the Bucaramanga Traffic Directorate were also present at the scene to investigate the possible cause of the road accident.
