The summer stage in Cuba for 2024 will officially begin on June 29, while Matanzas and its thirteen municipalities prepare an integrative plan with the participation of insurance organizations in the interest of a summer period that satisfies the demands.
From the Provincial Sports Directorate, one of the parties in charge of the summer plan, strategies are drawn up and options are designed for the enjoyment of the Yumurina family.
According to Lázaro Puñales Leal, Provincial Methodologist of the Physical Recreation and Use of Free Time Project in the Territorial Directorate of Sports, one of the most anticipated moments of the cycle will be the 60 National School Gameswhere Matanzas will host three disciplines: artistic swimming, diving and indoor volleyball for men.
The manager pointed out that each territory designs its own plan according to its needs and interests, without disdaining the celebration of traditional tournaments and events in the calendar of these hot months. Among them he mentioned rowing, sailing, skydiving, motorcycling and open water swimming competitions.
The activities will reach neighborhoods in transformation and communities, with the essential role that sports teams play in bringing physical activity closer. This year, Matanzas will have the responsibility of officially closing summer throughout the country. The moment will occur in the plaza of the Yumurino viaduct with a sample of what was experienced during this stage.
Knowing the economic and material limitations that the country is experiencing today, summer 2024 and the actions planned for this cycle can be a pleasant option on the sporting and recreational level.
