Feijóo encourages voting to respond to “the situation in Spain”
The president of the PP deposits his ballot at the Ramiro de Maeztu School in Madrid, accompanied by the mayor of the capital José Luis Martínez Almeida. «Participate day. We call for mobilization without tension, without insults. […] I thank the mayor for accompanying me in this vote. Today is the day to delve deeper into Spanish democracy, to demonstrate that we are going to continue defending it, that we are going to make a commitment to the Spanish democratic system remaining strong and vigorous within the EU. There is not a single citizen who should be considered unrelated to the electoral result. It is time to tell citizens if we want to respond to the situation in which we live […] It is a good day to make decisions about the agricultural policy we want, for our industrial policy, for security, for the defense of the environment in a coordinated manner and proportional to the need for Europe to continue advancing. I conclude by encouraging with optimism, ambition, responsibility that all Spaniards respond at the polls to the situation in our country, to what they want in Europe and Spain. Vote calmly, with reasons, ideas and consistent with our own way of understanding Spain. “I expect massive participation at the polls and that we exceed the percentages of previous European elections,” the leader of the PP told the media.
