This meeting between Inti Huama, Mínguez-Barboza and the writer has been due for a long time. The one who designed it gave us the beautiful opportunity to gather bits of emotions scattered across stages in the province, the country and abroad, proudly wearing the music of our region as a badge.

One of the attractions of the Concert, which will take place on Saturday, June 15, at 9:30 p.m. in the Ing. Juan Victoria Auditorium – one of the largest stages in the world – will surely show that what we learned about art and people can well be summarized in a tripartite and generous embrace in the face of the history that the public has collected from these three interpreters who made hugging people a way of life, and who, without warning, put it back on the table as a reminder, from the current reality, and (thank God) with validity.

Leaving aside the artistic achievements that time has created and about which the public is the only one entitled to point out, Minguez-Barboza carries in his blood the illustrious name of El Horcón, with all that that means for what began as dream and was creating extraordinary successes everywhere. And Inti Huama has always continued to offer personality, quality and charisma on stage.

Whoever had the idea of bringing us together surely managed to embrace an era of San Juan music with projection outside the homeland. To unthinkable limits, because no one knows the destination of their first steps, even if they intend the realization of glorious dreams for them. Whether you get there or not, it’s part of life.

I will never forget when we had scheduled a recital with Hugo at the Auditorium Amphitheater and someone gave us the name of three boys from our generation who – he assured us – sang very well. They were unknown Inti Huama. We invited them and it was the discovery of a path of music and fraternity that is still in force today despite so many years.

And when in a performance at the Boite del Casino de San Juan, which was located in the current Legislature building, we shared the stage with a group that was the seed of the successful Mínguez – Barboza. Since then, unconditional friends and companions in the adventure of art.

With both artists we performed on numerous tours in the country and abroad and they even spread the songs of my authorship around the world, which until today is a sweet sword stuck in distant places.

I love the Juan Victoria Auditorium. I keep many records of performances in that prestigious and unique hall. All of them far surpass in quality the best studio recordings.

Here we go, dear Saint John. Thank you Comvincians. If we manage to be something outside of this love, we owe it to the beautiful adage that whoever paints the village paints the world…

For him Dr. Raúl de la Torre
