After 36 years of incessant dedication, the Riojan Federation of Municipalities (FRM) has entered this June 9 into the list of entities and institutions that hold the Medal of La Rioja in their hands. A distinction that, in the case of the aforementioned federation, is “an honor” and “a tribute to the tireless work and dedication of all those who have contributed to the efforts of the FRM”, which is made up of 174 municipalities. “It is a recognition of all those who worked and work every day for our towns, for making La Rioja a better place to live,” said the president of the entity, Jorge Loyo, after receiving the award from the head of the Executive. regional, Gonzalo Capellán.

Its mission has always been “to unite our municipalities, provide them with full autonomy and raise the quality of life of all Riojans, but we know that our work is far from over.” Hence, this distinction “encourages us to continue in our efforts to achieve an even better Rioja.” «We will continue working together to defend the interests of our people, to promote their development and thus build a prosperous future for all Riojans. During his intervention in the Main Refectory of the Yuso Monastery, Loyo, in addition to reviewing the composition and services provided by the FRM, has also extended his “most sincere gratitude” to the set of the “four fundamental pillars” without which In his opinion, it would not have been possible to receive this award. For this reason, he thanked, first of all, “the trust, support and unwavering collaboration” of all the mayors and councilors of the region, with whom “we have worked to strengthen municipalism, to defend the interests of our people and for offering citizens the best possible public service. Loyo also had words of recognition for each of the city council workers for the “crucial” role they play “in the daily functioning of our institutions.” Above all, because their work, “often silent but always essential, is fundamental to the life of our people.” He has also extended his gratitude to the FRM employees, whom he recognized for their dedication, commitment and professionalism.
