Carlos Enrique Sánchez Paredes, the young university student murdered in Bernal

Carlos Enrique Sánchez Paredes (22) left his house in the town of Bernal very early on Saturday morning. His family would never see him alive again. He was killed during a robbery when I was going to take the bus.

Engineering student at the University of La Plata (UNLP), Carlos had to go take an exam this Saturday and he walked towards the bus stop. Her mother, as always, stayed on the sidewalk watching her son walk away from her until she lost sight of him.

Then, as was customary between mother and son, the woman waited for the message that she was already on a trip, something common, so that she could stay calm. But that WhatsApp never arrived and Carlos’s mother went out to look for him in the neighborhood. He found him just over 100 meters from his home, face down, dying.

Carlos, who would have turned 23 on July 26, arrived lifeless at the Wilde hospital, taken by a neighbor. “They killed him with a blow to the head to steal his cell phone”sources of the case informed Infobae.

Misiones and Falucho, a few meters from the entrance to Villa Itatí

Only that is what the investigators of the DDI of the Buenos Aires Police of Quilmes know, within the framework of the case led by the prosecutor. Karina Gallo, from UFI No. 4 of the judicial department of that district. The rest is a mystery: There are no security cameras in the area, there are no witnesses, nor was the murder weapon found at the scene.

Carlos, who was studying Engineering at the UNLP and who worked in the Scientific Research Commission, was attacked very close to the intersection of Misiones and Falucho, meters from one of the entrances to the Villa Itati.
