The Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrichcriticized the actions of Justice in the case against the Ministry of Human Capital and its owner, Sandra Pettobello, for the distribution of food stored in warehouses. “He started working as a storekeeper,” said the minister in a radio interview.
“Was a counteroffensive that false social movements made to disarm the logic. In the middle he got Justice to act as a grocer. What is this? Justice decides how food is distributed in Argentina,” said Bullrich regarding the raids last week on warehouses located in the province of Tucumán and the Buenos Aires suburbs.
In dialogue with journalist Ignacio Ortelli (Radio Rivadavia), Bullrich said: “No one explains to me what happened. It was up to the Federal Police and the Gendarmerie to carry out the raids and, in each place, there was no expired food.”
In statements replicated by the Noticias Argentinas agency, the Minister of Security indicated: “What Justice should do is supervise whether what was purchased and what is there is correct. What does Justice know how food is distributed? They made us leave of urgency, one can make a mistake, screw up, be unfair. Arriving in an area and they can take a truck. Things are not done like that because Justice forces you.
The national official was also critical of the judge Sebastian Casanelloalthough without naming it.
“What does the judge know about how food is distributed? That judge ordered an investigation into a number of poverty managers who stole food and, that same judge, came out the next day to say “distribute the food.” One of lime and one of sand,” Bullrich stated, and continued: “Why do I have to go out and distribute based on the criteria of a judge and not based on public policy?. What does the judge do? Do you play politics with food? I don’t understand”.
In this way, Bullrich referred to the measure ordered by Casanello through which he ordered the Ministry of Human Capital to deliver a food distribution plan, supported by the Federal Chamber after the appeal of the portfolio led by Sandra Pettovello.
“Famine appeared on December 10. I’m furious because we shouldn’t follow up on that.“You have to look at things with a little more distance,” Bullrich concluded.
