Garcé seemed very happy
The former player of Central, River and the Argentine national team Ariel Garcé achieved his first victory in national motorsports this Sunday in Rosario, after winning the final of the Fiat Competizione category, opening act of the TC2000.
The 44-year-old former defender, retired from professional activity after a fruitful career that had him wearing the shirts of clubs such as Colón de Santa Fe, Olimpo de Bahía Blanca, Argentinos Juniors, Atlético de Rafaela and Morelia de México, he was also called up to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa by Diego Maradona.
In addition, Garcé was part of the first coaching staff at Eduardo Coudet’s Canalla, who will now face Miguel Russo’s team in the Sudamericana with Inter de Porto Alegre.
“Chino” achieved the long-awaited victory in the second final of the fourth date of the 2024 season, in the category in which he debuted in 2019. He lifted the trophy and finished the test ahead of great experienced drivers such as Ernesto “Tito” Bessone.
“Today I came re-focused, I took a chance and it turned out well. She came crying in the last lap like a gentleman because for me she is not stupid. I thank the cars that respected me on the last lap,” Garcé said with tears, on the podium.
“Running is complex for me and I do it as a hobby. I was afraid before leaving, like I was in the tunnel before a classic, That grabs you, you need support and you hug with a partner. Here it’s like in boxing, you have to do everything right on your own.”Garcé added.
