A young man was captured for his alleged responsibility in the death of a man, in a residential area of Neiva.
This is ‘José’, arrested on Carrera 26 in the Las Américas neighborhood, in the Ocho commune in the south of the capital of Huila, by members of the Neiva Metropolitan Police. “In a quick reaction he manages to capture…” said a spokesperson for the security agency.
According to the authorities, the 22-year-old young man stabbed his opponent in the middle of a fight, causing serious injuries. “The surveillance patrol moved to the Las Américas neighborhood, finding a fight between citizens who were apparently under the influence of alcohol.”
The badly injured victim was taken to the Emcosalud clinic, in the center of the city, where minutes later he lost his life due to the severity of the wound.
While ‘José’ was captured and placed at the disposal of the URI Prosecutor’s Office, for the crime of homicide, which will take him today to preliminary hearings before the municipal criminal judge with guarantee functions.
Meanwhile, Colonel Alexander Castillo Marín called for tolerance and prudence in the consumption of liquor. “Citizens are called to be cautious with alcohol consumption; it is important to remind them that its abuse can lead to unfortunate situations.”
