Nefab’s new plant in Chile offers a wide range of sustainable packaging solutions for the mining, manufacturing, energy and telecommunications sectors.

Nefab, a leading global provider of industrial packaging and logistics services focused on sustainability, expanded its operations in the Latin American region with the inauguration of a new plant in Viña del Mar, Chili. The new plant meets the growing need for contract logistics and sustainable packaging services in the area. With an investment of almost a million dollars, it is expected to create up to 80 new jobs.

Nefab’s long-standing partnership with Metso, a leader in sustainable technologies and services for the aggregates, mining and metals refining industries, led to the establishment of a facility that provides storage and distribution support to mining clients in the region. Following the plant’s opening, Metso will be the lead customer, and collaboration will focus on ensuring efficient and sustainable storage operations.

In line with Nefab’s commitment to sustainability, the plant is designed to run on 80% renewable energy, which maximizes the absorption of natural light. Additionally, all-electric vehicles and machinery complement this state-of-the-art plant.

The new Nefab plant in Chile offers a wide variety of sustainable packaging solutions, including returnable packaging, fiber-based solutions and plywood products for the mining, manufacturing, energy and telecommunications industries. In the future, it is expected to expand its services to cover other sectors, such as lithium-ion batteries and electric mobility.
