Mendoza’s political harmony with the Nation seems to be going through its best moment. The Chief of Staff, Guillermo Francos, was in charge of praising Alfredo Cornejo’s support for Javier Milei, both to the Base Law project and to the fiscal package; and in return he said that the Nation signed the addendum to dispose of Portezuelo’s money, almost as a recognition of that support.

The most dialogic official The Milei government focused on two gestures that demonstrate a certain preference of the libertarians towards Mendoza: the signing of the Portezuelo addendum and the decision to provide funds to transfer public works projects to the provinces. While $90,000 million was provided to Tucumán, $180,000 million will be transferred to Mendoza.

Francos said that it was Cornejo who asked him to move forward with the addendum months ago and added that the Government decided to grant the request, understanding that Portezuelo’s money is devalued if it continues to be saved without being able to invest it in works.

“We decided that those resources, which are 1,023 million dollars that are in an account at Banco Nación, can be used in other works to be determined by the province, because it is the province’s money, not the Nation’s. So we signed that addendum with Governor Cornejo and obviously it has to be approved by the provincial Legislature.. So it seems to me that this is important for the province, because it is a lot of money that can be used to carry out infrastructure works that are important,” he said in dialogue with radio Nihuil.

Note in progress.
