The judicial case for the savage attack on a young man in Cinco Saltos advances

Three young people were charged for the savage attack that Damián “Dilan” Reyes suffered in October of last year outside a Cinco Saltos bowling alley. The hearing to formulate charges took place during the course of last week at the headquarters of the Cipoleños Courts. The events occurred around 7 a.m. on Sunday, October 29, at the exit of a dance venue located on Avenida Argentina and San Martín.

According to what the investigators reproduced, Reyes, 20 years old and the son of a police officer who works in a Cinco Saltos unit, said goodbye to a friend and left for home. But at one point he was attacked by at least four people who beat him fiercely, with blows and kicks. When he fell to the floor, one of the members of the gang gave him a brick in the head, which almost killed him. The attackers then escaped, although clues immediately emerged as to who the perpetrators were.

Dilan was hospitalized in serious condition in the intensive care area of ​​the Juan XXIII Sanatorium in General Roca until he was discharged. He is still in the recovery process with kinesiological treatment.

When the events occurred, Reyes’ relatives questioned the work of the staff at the Cinco Saltos hospital, where he was initially treated. According to him, that morning they received a call alerting them that his son was being taken to the hospital.

At the scene they were told that he had lost consciousness due to having consumed alcoholic beverages and they sent him home. But when they noticed that as the hours went by he was not reacting, they took him back to the hospital, where they told him that they should refer him for more in-depth studies.

At first they tried to transfer him to Cipolletti, but since there was no room they sent him to the General Roca clinic. There, a CT scan revealed that he had suffered severe blows to the head.

At that time they noticed that the investigation was not progressing and that the attackers were still free, so marches were held to clarify the case. But the police had worked in that direction. The lawyer representing the family, Matías Stiep, highlighted the work carried out by the Cinco Saltos Investigation Brigade.
