Mayor Carlos Pinedo Cuello emphasized that the Sea Festival will be a reflection of the historical and cultural value that is desired to be recovered in Santa Marta. The celebrations, which will take place from July 25 to 29, will include 15 activities designed to strengthen the city’s culture, sports, tourism, entertainment and economic development. Among the most notable events are beach sports competitions with 12 disciplines and more than 1,000 athletes, a sample of traditional Samaria cuisine, the largest drum symphony in the world with more than 200 musicians, the traditional folk parade through the main streets of the city with special guests, and an academic meeting to highlight the history of Santa Marta and its traditional festival.

These festivities aim not only to revitalize the identity and prestige of Santa Marta, but also to turn the city into an epicenter of culture and fun for all its inhabitants and visitors. The mayor of Santa Marta invites everyone to be part of this historic commemoration that promises to make the city shine again and return to its origins.
