The technique allows access to judicial information linked to arrest warrants, prohibitions on leaving the country, kidnapping requests, early warnings of fugitives and vehicle thefts, among other aspects.

The provincial Ministry of Security and Justice advanced in the training of police officers to provide them with more tools to combat crime. In this framework, more than 600 police officers belonging to the Command group and the Special Divisions of the provincial force have already accessed the use of a very useful computer system linked to prevention and investigation.

In this sense and framed in this strategic policy, during the last week nearly 200 new users in the province participated in training in security standards and operational applicability criteria of the Federal Police Communications System (SIFCOP) that govern as employment standards. and audit of the police function.

System benefits

SIFCOP is a system for the registration, transmission and consultation of judicial information linked to arrest warrants, prohibitions on leaving the country, whereabouts by comparison, missing persons, habeas corpus, restrictive measures, kidnapping requests, early warnings of fugitives/evaded persons. and vehicle thefts among others.

Through this system and the direct link with the Judicial Offices throughout the country, so far in 2024, 45 people have already been identified with judicial measures issued by judges throughout the country, both in the provincial territory and at the federal level.

Tackling organized crime

Permanent training for the staff of the Ministry of Security and Justice is a fundamental objective of the Government of Chubut to confront organized crime throughout the provincial territory, with the most updated and cutting-edge tools available on the subject.

It is worth mentioning that these innovations are put into operation in coordination with the General Coordination of the Federal Police Communications System, which depends on the Secretariat for the Fight against Drug Trafficking and Organized Crime of the Ministry of National Security.
