The Chilean president, Gabriel Boric, landed at the airport of the German capital accompanied by the Minister of Energy, Diego Pardow; the Minister of Economy, Nicolás Grau; the Minister of Science and Technology, Aisén Etcheverry; the Minister of Justice, Luis Cordero, and a parliamentary, business, academic and scientific delegation.
“Our objective is to deepen bilateral ties and continue advancing in the promotion of human rights and collaboration agreements that benefit our people in economic matters, clean energy, new technologies and astronomical innovation,” Boric said on his official social network account. x.
On his tour of Germany, which will also take him to the German city of Munich, in the south of the country, the Chilean head of state will meet this Monday with the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, who will receive him with military honors and with whom will address the full range of bilateral and economic relations, including issues related to renewable energy and climate protection.
Furthermore, during the first stage of his visit to Germany, the Chilean president will meet on Tuesday (06/11/2024) with the German president, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, and will promote his country’s potential for German investment and explain his agenda for a just socioeconomic transformation in Chile.
Finally, in Munich he will meet with the Bavarian authorities on Wednesday, participate in a conference with emerging companies and visit the headquarters of the European Southern Observatory (ESO).
