A productive meeting was held by the Regional Governor Andrea Macías, the regional director of Sernatur Claudio Montecinos, the Seremi del Deporte María Eugenia Durán and the Mayor Julio Uribe with leaders of Puerto Aysén, with a view to starting joint work that seeks to promote various disciplines from the little ones to the adult series.
Puerto Aysén.- “We in this coordinating role received them and were able to generate an agenda with the main sports actors in our region, in the communes of Coyhaique and Aysén, they came for two days, at least the one associated with sports and we have had an intense schedule. We met with the administration of the El Fraile mountain center, now, in the sports center with the Municipal Sports Corporation, with the participation of Mayor Julio Uribe, who received us and they were able to give us a tour of the facility, sports organizations were also integrated , where there were disciplines that this Comodoro delegation was interested in being able to exchange, that is, basketball, volleyball, rugby and hockey,” said Seremi del Deporte, María Eugenia Durán.
For the Mayor, Julio Uribe, this collaborative work between Comodoro and the communal territory is a tremendous possibility to promote disciplines that have been growing and increasingly interesting children, young people and adults. “It is very important for us because we are going to promote our sport, we are going to have the possibility of holding championships, leagues and that is of total benefit to our athletes, especially the training part, so that our coaches are prepared, that they are trained by Argentine coaches, these ties of friendship are very good for us. The idea is to strengthen the existing relationship between both countries, whether in tourism or sports, so they were very good meetings and we are going to continue strengthening these ties, to achieve the exchange of sports disciplines.”
Marcos Davies, from the “Comodoro Deportes” organization, reaffirmed that the main objective of the meeting was to establish coordination that allows leaders and athletes from Aysen to learn about the Argentine reality, exchange knowledge and generate skills.
“The idea is to make alliances, start talking, have links, so that between the two parties, both Chile and Argentina, we can carry out different sporting events. It should be noted that people from rugby, hockey, athletics, basketball and volleyball came to this sporting mission. That is why meetings have been held, so that, in the future, for example, the volleyball or basketball team from the city of Comodoro Rivadavia that represents the national league, can come here, not only to play friendly matches. with the local teams, but also to have training, because these teams that are highly competitive can transmit their knowledge to the local players.”
For the leader and monitor of the “Manada” Rugby club of Aysén, Nicolás Ibacache, these types of meetings are valued for the results and support they can bring to sport in the region. “These ties, this information are very important and seeing that all sports in the commune and in the region are being strengthened, that is the main thing. The more sports there are, the more children play, the more ways and activities there are to develop, especially in this place, where the help is constant and the desire to be there is permanent and the desire to emerge in sports, in physical activity, “Healthy living is the most important thing.”
From the Municipality of Aysén, Mayor Julio Uribe himself reiterated the importance that this administration has given to sport and as long as new spaces, competitions, and training can be generated, everything possible will be done to collaborate to carry out these initiatives.
