The National Service for Food Safety and Quality (Senasa) has ordered the reorganization of 20 local offices, within the framework of the simplification and deregulation plan that it has been carrying out. According to the health agency, the measure is “to optimize resources without affecting any of the services provided to the productive sector.”

The measure, contemplated in Resolution 683/2024 and prepared together with the Secretariat for Simplification of the Office of the Chief of Ministers, covers five local agencies located in the province of Buenos Aires, six in Córdoba, four in Corrientes and one in San Luis, as well as in Salta, Misiones, Santa Fe and the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.

These are offices that were established some time ago – some more than 20 years ago – due to specific needs, but which currently have little or no user demand, so it was decided that they would be closed down and that their functions would be integrated into nearby local offices.

Within the framework of this restructuring, in the province the Alta Gracia office goes to Córdoba capital; that of General Levalle is integrated into that of Laboulaye; that of Hipólito Bouchard and Villa Huidobro with that of Huinca Renancó; Salsacate with Villa Dolores and Villa del Totoral with Jesús María, according to the resolution.

In Córdoba, the people who worked in these offices have long since been assigned to other activities, the agency reported.

As of this decision, the health entity will operate in the country with 355 public offices. In Córdoba, the structure has 39 divisions.
