The cities of Córdoba and Trelew signed an agreement in order to promote tourism

After two days of work, the 25th Meeting of Tourist Municipalities closed that took place in this city and brought together more than 130 municipalities, sharing experiences with UN Tourism, the Organization of American States (OAS) and leading tourism and technology experts.

Representatives from 20 provinces and neighboring nations attended. There were keynote talks, a block of good practices, and a large federal table.

In this frame, The Municipality of Córdoba and Trelew signed an agreement that seeks to promote tourism in the citycontributing to the sustainable development of the respective communities and contributing to the generation of employment and contributing to local economies.

The agreement was signed by the Secretary of Government, Inspection and Control, Rodrigo Fernandez; the Undersecretary of Tourism, Marcelo Valdomero; and the mayor of the Municipality of Trelew Gerardo Merino.

This agreement seeks to “create instruments and procedures for cooperation and strategic association, for the development of tourism in the respective municipal jurisdictions; encourage the participation of the public and private sectors in the development of the agreed objectives, generating the necessary tools and conditions for such effect through articulation tables and promote promotional missions, both from the public and private sectors, with the purpose of increasing, generating and promoting tourist exchanges”, as indicated by the Government Secretariat of the Municipality of Córdoba.
