Two teenagers, originally from Caucasia, Antioquiamet a tragic end to their vacation in the municipality of Canton of San Pablo, Chocó. The young people, identified as Óscar David, 15, and Santiago, 16, They lost their lives drowning in the San Pablo River.

According to preliminary reports, one of the young people fell into the mighty river while they were enjoying a day of recreation. Upon witnessing the scene, his friend, in a heroic but unsuccessful act, jumped into the water to try to rescue him. Unfortunately, both young men were swept away by the current and died from immersion.
The news has shocked the Caucasian community, where Óscar and Santiago were students at the La Misericordia Educational Institution and the Santa Teresita Educational Institution, respectively. His classmates, teachers and family have expressed their deep sadness at this irreparable loss.
Local authorities have begun the corresponding investigations to clarify the facts in detail. The bodies of the young people have already been recovered and are in Forensic Medicine for the respective autopsy.
