A young woman russianAlina, who currently resides in Argentina, became a viral sensation on social media by sharing a cultural discovery that left her perplexed. Originally from Siberia, she decided to emigrate to the country in search of new opportunities and experiences, which she regularly shares on her TikTok account, under the user @alina_leeee.
In one of her most recent videos, which quickly went viral, Alina recounts her surprise at finding a particular gesture used in Argentina, which was completely foreign to him. This video captured the attention of thousands of users, reaching more than 700,000 views and accumulating more than 16,000 likes.
Alina explains in the video that, upon arriving in Argentina, she noticed that people were making a sign with their hands that she did not understand. This gesture consists of lower the circles under your eyes with your index finger while saying “be careful” or “be careful”. According to the young woman, this gesture is a complete enigma for the rest of the world: “I’m not saying anything bad, it’s just that it’s another culture and I had a great time learning it.” And she added: “When I got here, I didn’t understand it and, every time I saw it, I kept thinking: That? Is it a filter? A threat?”.
