This was announced in a parliamentary committee by the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports, Arturo Bernal, who has also insisted on the commitment of Andalusian government for research and conservation in cultural groups.

In this sense, Bernal, citing the Carteia site in Cádiz as an example, has announced that the Ministry is working, together with the Cepsa Foundation, on an ambitious plan, which will focus on the study, analysis and diagnosis of the heritage. hydraulic of the ancient city of Carteia. “This action will culminate – Bernal detailed in his speech – in the adoption of corrective, architectural and technical measures, to guarantee its conservation.”

The statistics of the Network of Cultural Spaces of Andalusia, in which Carteia is included, also indicate that the Monumental Complex of the Alhambra and Generalife, with 570,254 visits, was the most visited space in the community, followed by the Synagogue of Córdoba, with 150,642 visitors, the Roman Theater of Málaga, with 126,261 visits, the Archaeological Complex of Itálica, which in the first quarter received a total of 65,721 visits, with March, with 28,702 visits, being the month with the highest number of visitors.

The Monumental Complex of the Alcazaba of Almería, for its part, received 57,451 visits in the first three months, registering 31.6% more compared to the same period of the previous year, and the Roman Theater of Cádiz, which with 32,623 visits, recorded an increase of 41.6% compared to the first quarter of 2023.

The statistics of the Network of Cultural Spaces of Andalusia, which include all the people who attend the cultural spaces to participate in any of its activities, their objective is to determine the role of the centers that make up the Network event in the dissemination of cultural heritage, to know the evolution of the volume of their visits and the cultural activities carried out there.
