The president of the Provincial Council of Córdoba, Salvador Fuentes, has held a meeting with mayors of the province with the aim of analyzing the Call for Aid for the Digitalization of the Urban Water Cycle, which is part of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Rural Development of the Junta de Andalucía and whose beneficiaries are municipalities and local entities with less than 20,000 inhabitants.

Fuentes has specified that “the reason for this meeting is put Emproacsa technicians at the disposal of our town councilsso that applications for this aid are focused on attracting the greatest number of resources possible for hydraulic investments in the province.”

The head of the provincial institution has stated that “the call that we are sending today to our municipal officials establishes that actions aimed at water collection infrastructure or delivery points will be eligible for subsidies, as well as any element of the supply system, including networks. of distribution”.

According to Fuentes, “the maximum amount will be 100,000 euros per project, with aid established by city council or ELA. According to the text, the entire budget cost of the action may also be covered.”

The call, published on May 23, establishes as evaluation criteria the reduction of water losses, the promotion of transparency in the knowledge of water uses, the implementation of remote control and telemetry systems to improve water management. supply system and automation of the processes of the water treatment plant.

In another order of matters, and in relation to the contribution to the demographic challenge, the average income per person and municipality, the ratio of unemployed people, the population density and the percentage of the population over 65 years of age will be taken into account.

The deadline for submitting applications will be one calendar month from the day following publication in the BOJA.
