The Magdalena Police authorities were reported of a second violent incident in the municipality of Fundación, where a man was shot at while riding a motorcycle.
This was reported as Julio Berrío Lara, known as ‘El Negro’, who managed to be admitted to the local hospital, however, he could not withstand his injuries and died minutes later.
The violent event occurred in the San Nicolás neighborhood, just behind the San Rafael hospital, when individuals on a motorcycle and without saying a word shot the man repeatedly, leaving him badly injured on the floor.
‘El Negro’ was picked up and taken to the hospital’s emergency room, where despite the efforts of the doctors on duty, he suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest as a result of the gunshot wounds he received in different parts of his body.
Officers from the mobile criminalistics unit of the Criminal Investigation Section – Sijín of the Judicial Police were in charge of inspecting the body and transferring it to the morgue of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences.
