Quintana suffers a non-displaced fracture of the fourth metacarpal of his right hand. The Colombian will continue treatment through immobilization and will not start today, Tuesday, in the 3rd stage,” the team wrote.

For his part, the Giro d’Italia champion spoke about his injury and sent a message to all his followers. Quintana seemed calm about the injury and assured that he will accompany his teammates during this new day.

“Yesterday I had the fall, I tried to escape, in the end I fell in the grass. I didn’t get any scratches or anything, in fact I don’t even have a scratch on my hand, butBut something hit me in the bone and I broke my hand. I’m out of competitionbut again to train hard and return to the races to come,” commented the Colombian rider.

And regarding the stage that is being played this Tuesday, he indicated that “I will continue accompanying all my colleagues from the car. and to see another race from the cars. I will tell you in the afternoon how it has been for me as the director’s companion.”
