This morning, Tuesday, June 11, the 2024 Spanish Men’s Mini Club Championship was presented at the Royal Stables of Córdoba, which will be held in the capital of Córdoba from June 23 to 29.

The event opened Mr. Antonio de Torres, vice president of the Spanish Basketball Federation and president of the Andalusian Federation, who thanked all attendees for their efforts in organizing this championship in Andalusia and Córdoba. He highlighted from the FEB how easy it is to bet on a land like Córdoba when organizing an event that will surely be a success.
He then took the floor, Mr. Eduardo Lucena, territorial delegate of Tourism, Culture and Sports of the Junta de Andalucía, who expressed his satisfaction to receive a national event of such a nature as the Spanish Minibasket Championship. In his speech, he also took the opportunity to thank the institutions present for their efforts in bringing this tournament to Córdoba and Andalusia, promoting sport and tourism hand in hand.
Mr. Fernando Romay, legend and ambassador of the Spanish Basketball Federation, spoke next, highlighting the importance of this championship for the future of Spanish basketball, even more so, being a tournament with as many values as those transmitted by the FAB with its Varlocesto program. He also highlighted the figure of the city of Córdoba as the venue for the event, being a magnificent environment for all the players and the first seed to sow the future of Spanish basketball.
Closed the presentation Mr. Salvador Fuentes, president of the Provincial Council of Córdoba, who in an emotional intervention, wanted to personally thank Antonio de Torres for bringing such an important tournament to the city of Córdoba thanks to his efforts. He wanted to extend, on behalf of practically everyone present, this gratitude to the vice president of the FEB and president of the FAB. He also took the opportunity to highlight and thank the presence of Fernando Romay at the event, for the values that he transmitted during his sports career as a player, and those that he continues to transmit as ambassador of the Spanish Basketball Federation.
