Two women were captured when they tried to bring marijuana into the Palogordo de Girón Prison. Another was caught trying to bring in four bags of whiskey hidden in her private parts.
During the visits that took place last Sunday, June 9, at the Palogordo de Girón Maximum Security Prison, Inpec reported the capture of two women who tried to bring marijuana into the prison.
This result occurred amid the controls and searches carried out with anti-narcotics canines that made it possible to discover the drugs they were carrying in their private parts.
One of those captured was carrying 216 grams of marijuana and the other 261 of the same substance. Both were going to visit their relatives held in prison.
The two captured were transferred by Inpec to the Prosecutor’s Office to be prosecuted for the crime of trafficking or possession of narcotics.

Drugs are not the only thing that prisoners seek to enter the Palogordo Prison; another woman was found with four bags of whiskey in her genitals.
“In the registration and control procedure with a canine pair, this person gives a passive signal and this person is asked if he or she is carrying any prohibited item with him/her, to which he/she voluntarily proceeds to deliver four bags of physiological saline solution,” it is stated. read in the Inepc report.
When the liquid was analyzed, it was discovered that it was whiskey, approximately 400 cubic centimeters.
In this regard, Hernando Mantilla Medina, defender of prison rights in Santander, stated that “unfortunately, the families of the inmates continue without raising awareness, allowing themselves to be pressured to carry prohibited substances or substances that are grounds for criminal conviction, such as drugs and They are getting into yet another mess.
