The authorities called on the population to respect the measures decreed with this episode, especially the prohibition of lighting wood heaters and wood-based heaters (except pellets) throughout the RM, a measure that will be supervised by the Seremi de Salud teams. in conjunction with the municipalities and Carabineros.
Likewise, they recalled that compliance with the ban on agricultural burning – which is in effect until October 31 – will be supervised by the Seremi of Agriculture, through the inspection teams of the Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG) and the National Forestry Corporation (Conaf). ) of the MRI.
Regarding the vehicle restriction, the calendar established by the Ministry of Transportation is maintained.
Thus, this Wednesday vehicles with a green seal, registered before September 2011, whose license plates end in the digits 8 and 9 will not be allowed. The restriction applies to the province of Santiago plus the communes of San Bernardo and Puente Alto.
Meanwhile, the restriction also applies to vehicles without a green seal with plates ending in 6, 7, 8 and 9. They will not be able to circulate outside the Américo Vespucio ring in the Province of Santiago, plus San Bernardo and Puente Alto.
Motorcycles with license plates ending in 8 and 9 are also restricted.
Finally, it applies to cargo transport – including vans – without a green seal with plates that end in 6, 7, 8 and 9.
