Snow due to frontal system: these are the regions where the Chilean Meteorological Directorate issued warnings and alerts for the phenomenon

Speaking in detail, the notice of the DMC apply from the night of Wednesday June 12extending to the morning of next Saturday the 15th. Although there is also an alert until Thursday, June 13.

  • Metropolitan.
  • O’Higgins.

As defined in space, the notice means “meteorological phenomena with a moderate degree of severity, potentially risky”.

In fact, there had also previously been talk about the possibility of snow and some voices from experts such as Meteored pointed to about 100 centimeters in the Maule mountain range.

Meanwhile, speaking of the north center, Coquimbo and the southern sector of Atacama could add between 50 and 80 centimeters in a white cloak until Friday the 14th.

Of course, a weather warning was also issued from Wednesday to Friday for normal to moderate rainfall in areas belonging to Coquimbo, Valparaíso, Metropolitana, O’Higgins and Biobío.
