The representative of the Conin Foundation in Tucumán, Carolina Smidtexplained that 95% of the 70,000 kilos of powdered milk that was stored in the Human Capital of the Nation warehouses, located in Tafí Viejo, had already been distributed.
“We are waiting for some dining rooms and picnic areas that could not come last week. So in the next few days they will finish delivering them,” Smidt explained in an interview with Buen Día, the morning newspaper of LA GACETA Play.
Furthermore, he clarified that, unlike what happened in other provinces, in Tucumán no complaints were registered for the sale of powdered milk belonging to Capital Humano. “Let’s hope there are no problems,” he added.
Malnutrition
Smidt also referred to the data provided by Social Development that 48% of children who attend community snack centers suffer from malnutrition.
“We have been in Tucumán for 15 years working with malnutrition. This is not new, it has always happened and it is something cultural, since the way to eat is pure carbohydrates,” he indicated. And he added that one of Conin’s tasks is to educate mothers about healthy eating.
