Érica Rivas arrives in Córdoba to offer special workshops and a conversation

Next week, the Argentine actress Érica Rivas will be visiting Córdoba with a brief, but intense itinerary of activities for colleagues in training and the general public. The performer from Ramos Mejía will come to the city to offer acting workshops and a discussion on “Feminisms and Activisms.”

Next Monday, June 17, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., Érica will be giving an in-person workshop at the Valeria Lynch Córdoba School (Av. Figueroa Alcorta 281) for professional actors and actresses. On Tuesday, June 18, from 6 to 10 p.m., the actress will give another in-person workshop, but for acting or related students.

Both classes have limited spaces and have different prices: $50 thousand for like-minded people; $40 thousand for students and graduates of the Faculty of Arts; and $30 thousand for students from the Valeria Lynch school. The objective of the meetings is to think about acting work and think about the meaning of acting today.

“Sensory memory as a tool for acting, imagining a new narrative that emerges from there. And from that, we think about the body in movement, artistic-creative sensitivity, and group and individual dynamics,” they explain in the event newsletter.

According to the information provided, the students must learn some texts that the actress will provide previously and, when the time comes, “they must be ready for action.”

On the other hand, the actress will hold a discussion on “Feminisms and Activisms” on Wednesday the 19th at 5 p.m. at the University Cultural Center (Obispo Trejo 314). Admission is free, but there are limited spaces.

The talk, organized by the UNC Faculty of Arts, invites us to review the journey of Ricas’ career and how she was crossed by feminisms, putting activism, affectivities and the intersectional in dialogue with the collective of Feminist Actresses Córdoba . Moderated by Analia Juan and Mariela Serra.
