The Santa Marta Mobility Secretariat provided a balance of the operations that were carried out during the festive long weekend of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, leaving 85 drivers sanctioned with fines for violations to traffic regulations, 25 vehicles were immobilized, in addition to five drivers for driving while intoxicated.

The weekend also left 24 car accidents that left the same number of people injured. The authorities’ call is to exercise caution on the roads and respect traffic signs to avoid events that could end in tragedies.

Of the 25 immobilizations that were recorded on the festive long weekend, 5 correspond to drunk drivers, who were traveling along the avenues, putting their integrity at risk. and that of the different road actors in the city.

lThe Santa Marta Transit Agents are also carrying out different operations in the city center to counteract vehicles that are poorly parked on the streets. and sidewalks in this sector, the majority of offenders are motorcyclists who leave their motorcycles on the sidewalks and pedestrian crossings.
